I’ve been making these chocolate twisted koulourakia (Greek Easter cookies) for years, and they’ve been an absolute hit. I originally shared them on my original blog years ago, and now that I’ve moved to Substack, I had to bring them here too! I truly believe everyone needs to make these for Greek Easter — they’re so fun and festive. To create them, start with a standard koulourakia dough (you can use mine below or your own), then split the dough in half and knead chocolate paste into one half. From there, shape into classic braids or get creative with your own twists. Kouloruakia, after all, is easily variable by its maker.
These last in an airtight container for up to 3 weeks, making Greek Easter prep a breeze… or make them whenever for fun :)
